ASUS RT-BE50 Cyprus: key features

Wi-Fi 7 speed

Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) delivers up to 2,882 Mbps on 5 GHz and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. 4K-QAM packs more data into every transmission, and 160 MHz channels on 5 GHz give compatible phones and laptops very fast wireless connections. Older Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 4 devices keep working as before.

Multi-Link Operation (MLO)

MLO lets Wi-Fi 7 devices use the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands at the same time. The result is more stable connections with lower latency – ideal for video calls, online gaming and 4K streaming in busy homes.

2.5 Gigabit WAN for fibre

The 2.5G WAN port is ready for fibre connections faster than 1 Gbps, so the router will not slow down your internet as Cyprus fibre speeds increase. Three Gigabit LAN ports connect a PC, a TV, a console or an Ajax hub by cable.

Built-in VPN

Run a VPN server or client with WireGuard, OpenVPN or L2TP directly on the router. Access your home network securely while travelling, or route traffic through your VPN provider.

AiMesh whole-home Wi-Fi

Need coverage on several floors or in the garden? Add another ASUS AiMesh router or node to create one seamless mesh network with a single Wi-Fi name.

Family and guest features

Parental controls, a guest network and a separate network for smart-home and IoT devices are included – with no subscription required. WPA3 encryption and a built-in firewall protect your devices.

ASUS RT-BE50 Cyprus: who is it for?

• Homes and apartments with fibre internet
• Families with many phones, laptops, TVs and smart devices
• Gamers and remote workers who need low latency
• Small offices that want VPN access and a guest network

ASUS RT-BE50 Cyprus: setup tips

Connect the router’s 2.5G WAN port to your fibre modem or ONT, then set it up in a few minutes with the ASUS Router app. Place it in a central, elevated position away from thick walls for the best coverage. If your provider’s modem also has Wi-Fi, switch it to bridge mode or turn its Wi-Fi off to avoid interference. Not sure how? Send us a message on WhatsApp.

ASUS RT-BE50 Cyprus: frequently asked questions

Will it work with my Cyta, Epic or PrimeTel internet?

Yes. Connect it to your provider’s modem or fibre ONT through the WAN port. In some cases the provider’s settings (such as PPPoE login or VLAN) must be entered – we can help you set it up.

Do my devices need Wi-Fi 7?

No. All Wi-Fi devices work with it. Only Wi-Fi 7 phones and laptops get the full Wi-Fi 7 speed and MLO benefits; older devices still connect normally.

Does it have a USB port?

No. The RT-BE50 has one 2.5G WAN port and three Gigabit LAN ports, but no USB port.

Can I extend the coverage later?

Yes. With ASUS AiMesh you can add another compatible ASUS router to create a mesh network.
