Edifier R980T Cyprus: key features

Built-in amplifier – no extra box

The R980T is an active speaker set, so the amplifier is built into the right speaker. Plug it into the mains, connect your source and play – there is no separate amplifier to buy or set up.

Two-way sound with silk dome tweeters

Each speaker has a 13 mm silk dome tweeter for smooth, clear highs and a 4-inch (106 mm) woofer for fuller voices and mid-range. A front bass reflex port adds extra depth for music, films and games.

Solid MDF cabinets

The cabinets are made from MDF wood, which reduces vibration and gives a cleaner, more natural sound than plastic computer speakers. The matt black finish and fabric grilles look smart on any desk or shelf.

Dual RCA inputs

Connect two sources at once – for example a PC and a TV or games console. The included 3.5 mm to RCA cable works with laptops, phones and tablets.

Simple controls

Adjust the volume and bass with the knobs on the side of the right speaker, so you can tune the sound to your room without opening any software.
