Ajax KeyPad Outdoor Cyprus | Wireless IP66 Keypad Black

Description

Ajax KeyPad Outdoor Cyprus brings secure, weatherproof control of your Ajax alarm system to the place you actually need it: the gate, the front door or the entrance to your property. As the first wireless keypad in the Ajax range built for outdoor mounting, the Ajax KeyPad Outdoor Jeweller lets you arm, disarm and control automation before you even step inside.

Ajax KeyPad Outdoor Cyprus: Built for Sun, Rain and Dust

Outdoor equipment in Cyprus has to cope with intense summer heat, dust and heavy winter rain. The Ajax KeyPad Outdoor is housed in an IP66-rated enclosure that protects against dust and powerful water jets, and an IK08 rating for impact resistance against knocks and tampering. It operates reliably from −25°C to +60°C, comfortably covering even the hottest Cypriot summer afternoons on a sun-facing wall.

Large Mechanical Buttons and Clear Feedback

Instead of a touch surface that can be hard to use in bright sunlight or with wet hands, the keypad uses large mechanical buttons. LED indicators show the current security mode, device malfunctions or loss of connection with the hub, while a built-in buzzer signals alarms, door openings and entry or exit delays.

Four Ways to Control Your Security

The Ajax KeyPad Outdoor supports multiple authentication methods, so every user can choose what is most convenient:

Access codes, entered directly on the keypad. Ajax Pass cards and Tag key fobs, using DESFire EV1, EV2 and EV3 contactless technology. Smartphones, via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 4.2 or later) with the Ajax app installed, on both Android and iOS.

Two-Factor Authorisation

For higher-security sites, authorisation confirmation can be enabled. Users first present a Pass, Tag or smartphone, then enter a code, combining two layers of verification at the entrance.

Codes for Family, Staff and Guests

The keypad supports a keypad code, personal user codes, codes for unregistered users and duress codes, with up to 50 codes per keypad depending on the hub model. Codes for unregistered users are ideal for holiday homes, short-term rentals, cleaners and maintenance staff: you can give a guest temporary access without creating an Ajax account for them, and remove it the moment their stay ends.

Smart Functions Beyond Arming and Disarming

The Ajax KeyPad Outdoor can switch security modes for the whole site or for individual groups, activate Night Mode, control automation devices such as relays, switches and smart outlets, or run scenarios. It can also work as a bypass keypad, starting the entry delay so users can disarm the system from a main keypad inside.

Configurable Function Button

A dedicated function button can be set as a panic button that sends an alarm to users and the monitoring station and activates connected sirens, or used to mute interconnected fire alarms.

Protection Against Tampering and Code Guessing

The keypad automatically locks after more than three incorrect codes or unverified access devices within one minute. A tamper alarm reports any attempt to remove the keypad from its mounting surface or SmartBracket panel, and device authentication prevents spoofing. All communication is protected by encryption and frequency hopping to resist jamming.

Wireless Installation in Minutes

Thanks to Jeweller radio technology with a range of up to 1,700 m in open space, the keypad can be installed at a distant gate without running cables. Two pre-installed CR123A batteries provide up to 2 years of operation, with optional external 12V power where the batteries then act as backup. For best results, install the Ajax KeyPad Outdoor right at the entrance, so users can disarm before entering or arm the site as they leave.

Compatibility

The Ajax KeyPad Outdoor works exclusively with Ajax hubs running OS Malevich 2.33 or later. The hub is not included. Explore our full range of Ajax security systems at EMAGCY. Full technical documentation is available on the official Ajax website.
