The red Ajax EN54 FireProtect (VAD) Jeweller is a wireless visual alarm device – a fire alarm strobe – for the Ajax EN54 fire system. During a fire alarm its LED frame flashes clearly every two seconds, giving a visual warning where sound alone is not enough: for people with hearing loss, in loud venues and in areas where silent visual signalling is preferred. It is certified to EN 54-23 and installs without cables.

In short – Ajax EN54 FireProtect VAD Red Cyprus: wireless EN 54-23 visual alarm device, flashing LED frame at 0.5 Hz, IP54 for indoor and outdoor use, up to 1,700 m radio range, up to 5 years battery life, in Red.

Ajax EN54 FireProtect VAD Red Cyprus: key features

Certified visual fire alarm

The device is certified to EN 54-23, the European standard for visual alarm devices in fire alarm systems. It adds a reliable light signal to your Ajax EN54 system, alongside sounders and detectors.

Clear flash pattern

The LED frame flashes for 90 ms every 2 seconds (0.5 Hz), a clear and recognisable signal that attracts attention without being confused with ordinary lighting.

For people who cannot hear the alarm

Visual alarms are essential for people with hearing impairments, for workers wearing ear protection and in places with loud music or machinery. Combine them with sounders so every occupant is warned.

Fire-alarm red

The red housing marks the device clearly as fire safety equipment, matching red sounders and call points in corridors, stairwells and exits.

IP54 for indoor and outdoor use

Dust and splash protection allows installation inside the building and in covered outdoor areas, such as loading bays, car parks and courtyards.

Wireless, long battery life, tamper-protected

• Jeweller radio up to 1,700 m to the panel or a range extender
• 4x CR123A batteries preinstalled, up to 5 years, tool-free replacement
• Ceiling mounting up to 3 m, wall mounting up to 2.4 m
• SmartBracket lock, tamper alarm and connection loss detection after 36 seconds
